gabrielle policano (she/they) can best be found struggling with her sleep schedule. born and raised on the Upper West Side of New York City, she began her theatre education attending Fiorello H. Laguardia High School of Music, Art and Performing Arts, where she trained under Ally Sheedy, Sandy Faison and others. after (barely) surviving adolescence, she graduated from Boston University in 2021 with a BFA in Acting/Concentration in Musical Theatre. while there, she obtained a minor in English with a focus on poetry and creative writing, and spent a semester in London studying Shakespeare and classical text at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. most recently, she performed in a reading of Soft Target, a new work directed by Jo Bonney at New York Stage and Film, and understudied Eli in Let The Right One In at Berkeley Repertory Theater, directed by John Tiffany and choreographed Steven Hoggett. she is currently playing Cruz in Second Stage’s production of Breaking The Story opposite Maggie Siff, written by Alexis Scheer and directed by Jo Bonney. she will next be seen in A24’s upcoming film Babygirl, written and directed by Halina Reijn and starring Nicole Kidman, Antonio Banderas and Harris Dickinson.

she is a prominent poet in the NYC poetry scene, and a three-time slam winner at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe. she’s mildly, moderately adequate at adulting.
